*NEW* Print Range

Introducing my print range for 2018!

This collection of four digitally created artworks explore the city limits with influences from architecture and the urban landscape. The collection of open edition prints are meant to be an affordable alternative to original and limited ranges still in a high quality print and finish.

Each giclee print is printed on 300gsm paper and framed in sustainably sourced timber by Format Framing in Melbourne. Head to the Shop Prints section of my site to explore the range x

Inside Out: Search for a Stylist Cover

It was a jaw dropping moment when I saw this beautifully styled image for Inside Out Magazine, I couldn't believe that my work was potentially on the cover of a magazine! Central coast stylist Fiona Michelon has created this beautiful shot for the Inside Out: Search for a Stylist competition.  The competition invites 6 stylists to create a cover of their own design and the public can vote on their favourite.

Fiona's work has featured in a number of magazines including Inside Out, Grand Designs, Australian House & Garden and Woman’s Day. She has teamed up here with Pottery Barn, West Elm and featured my Wallspace Collective Kingsley Print, beautifully framed in oak.

Head to www.searchforastylist.com.au and place your vote for Fiona to help her take the title for the 2018 winner.

New Stockist: Crate Expectations

Super excited to announce that some of my work is available at the AMAZING Crate Expectations stores in Melbourne. Curator Georgie has such a fantastic eye for colour and uses it boldly, tugging at my heart strings combining texture, pattern and colour in such a fun and fresh way.

Stocking some of my favourite brands and artists, they really are worth a visit at their Hampton store, Malvern store or online: www.crateexpectations.com.au

The Wallspace Collective Launches

I’ve collaborated with two other artists from Newcastle, Annie Everingham and Lucille Jean to curate a collection of high quality, open edition art prints. Newcastle is a city undergoing some pretty rapid growth and revitalisation at the moment as it fast becomes home to an incredible scene of artists, makers, and creative start ups. To work along side these two talents to release this range is certainly an honour.

We wanted to celebrate this hive of creativity and emerging talent that Newcastle has to offer by creating a range with everyday art & design lovers in mind. We also wanted to create a unique market place for customers to purchase high end wall art at affordable prices, making it easier to style your special spaces with real art, by real artists – for less.

Each print showcased and sold in this collective is a high quality reproduction of the artist’s original painting. The artworks are printed onto fine art paper to archival standard, at the same level of quality found in a limited release.

My admissions Pink Moon and Kingsley are from my latest body or work and are available now to order. Follow the link here to be re-directed to the Annie Everingham site to shop the range.

Original Works

NEW to the online store I have 5 (yes 5!) new original works available.

Part of my current series of work which takes an abstract spin on the traditional landscape.

Painted in vibrant colours each uses acrylic on canvas to explore the shapes and horizons of different vistas - and the natural elements found within.

Take a look in the SHOP section to see what is available.

Digital Prints

New to the Xander Holliday store... frame friendly Digital Prints. I have created two designs for my debut print run, Cactus Island and Rock Garden. Largely inspired by my interest in indoor gardening, unique plants and cacti. These are printed on thick 200gsm matte paper with my logo on the back. Each has been hand signed by yours truly.

They fit nicely in a variety of store bought frames including A4 and some 8 x 10" frames. They are a perfect cost effective way to style your home or perhaps a unique gift for that someone special. Head over to the Shop page to see the designs.

Such a pleasure to read about the practice of local ceramicist Jen Lanz aka Good Grief Ceramics on the Alas the Label Journal this morning.

Jen and her story is an inspiration of how to turn your side hustle into your main game, and gives me motivation to improve my creative practice.

Head over to Alas the Label: Journal and read about Jen and her work, while there be sure to shop the Alas collection of ethically produced clothing - their colour combinations are really en pointe.

Slowdown Art Competition

I've always loved the idea of working with textiles so when the Slowdown Art Competition was announced on Instagram, where an artists work will be re-created into a beautiful cotton blanket, it seemed to be a no-brainer for me to submit some work.

Slowdown Studio is the creative project of Australian-born, Los Angeles-based designer Marc Hendrick. His love of shapes, pattern and colour makes for a wonderful range of limited run products supporting artists from around the world.

Fingers crossed, in the meantime check out their current range at www.slowdownstudio.com

Commission: Sydney Park Hotel, June '17

The cool kids at Sydney Park Hotel in Newtown have got all bases covered. Whether you are up for an early morning caffeine fix, posh pub-grub or a fine ale, the SPH team can sort you out.

It was a privilege to work on a piece for their Rolladoor cafe, lined with the raddest green walls it is certainly an honour to hang in their space.

Next time you are in the inner west be sure to check them out: www.sydneyparkhotel.com.au

Commission: May '17

It was a joy to work on this commission for a client who lives on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Taking inspiration from the coastline of Narrabeen and its surrounds I worked with the clients favourite colours of turquoise and aqua. It was hard to say goodbye to this piece, but so happy to see it in its new home.

Welcome to my blog, a space for me to share my work and what is happening in my world.
